jet ski rentals?

Postby 6genlive on Jul 30th, '10, 11:01

looking for some jet ski rentals for cheap or of good pricing, ive looked on the internet and most places dont show pricing and when u go there they charge enough!...i know wasaga beach is around 75 for half an hour which is ridiculous...my friend mentioned there is one thats 200 for the day? but he doesnt know where (he heard it from a freind as well). Does anyone know where i can find some nice places for rentals thats not too expensive...and if anyone has experience with renting...would i need a boating lisence? i know some ppl give it to u if u have ur g2 lisence? Thanx

first....y dont u go with ur brother...doesnt he go like every weekend?

second...yes, you need a pleasure craft boaters license...it is done online and u need to study and asnwer the questions....not sure of the cost..i haven't done it yet...but that has become the law. I beleive in september they will be making it harder by adding more questions....

third....there is a great place that i goto every few years....it is like $250 for the full day (9 to 9)...but i usually get there around noon and return around 5pm...it gets tooo tiring....

look for baysville marina....on the lake of bays...

it is getting harder and harder to find rental shops by the year....oh yeah...baysville doesnt' really have beach area or anything....

Wow $75 per half hour? $250/day is decent...some places require you to rent for more than a day, + a pick up/drop off fee if you don't have a trailer or pickup

Hey if your still lookin, I just rented at wasaga beach this past weekend.

theres a blue bridge somewhere by the strip (beach 1) and there is a sea doo rental at each side of the bridge. I went to 'Rideon'. They charge 90/h or 75/h if before 11am. you can negotiate to eliminate tax. But make sure to keep track of time when your out there. I paid for the hour and he only gave us 40 mins of time. when i got back to teh actuall rental booth, i saw why. there were about 6 ppl waiting to ride and with us out there, he wasnt making any money on the people that were just standing there. So i argued with the guy and only paid 2/3 of the price. Otherwise it wasnt bad, they use some kind of yamaha 110. maxout at about 77 km. They take you out to open waters and you can ride anywhere into the horizon as long as the guy still has a visual of you.
